Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

The short version

  • We only collect what you send us through the contact form or by email: your message, your name, your email address and, if you pick one, what it’s about.
  • We use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to do that work. We never sell it or use it for advertising.
  • This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics scripts.
  • Software and data we run for clients are hosted in each client’s own country or region: Canada for Canadian clients, the EU for European clients, and so on. Our own business tools, such as email, are run by providers that may store the messages you send us outside Canada.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time: write to info@doyaktech.com.

Who we are

Doyak Tech is a technology company based in Gatineau, Québec, Canada. In this policy, “we” means Doyak Tech. The person in charge of protecting personal information is Martin Vera Chang, CEO, CTO and Founder. You can reach them at info@doyaktech.com.

What we collect, and why

When you write to us. The contact form asks for your message, your name and your email address, and lets you choose what it’s about. We use these only to read your message, reply, and prepare a proposal if you ask for one. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by email through Cloudflare Email Service.

To stop spam. When the form is sent, our server briefly uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions. It is held in memory for a few minutes and not saved.

When we work together. We keep what we need to do the work and to bill it: contact details, the agreement, and our messages.

What we don’t collect. No advertising or tracking cookies, no analytics scripts, no third-party scripts in your browser. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.

Your clients’ data, when we run software for you

When we build and run software for your business, the data in it — about you and your customers — belongs to you. We process it only to run, fix and improve the service under our agreement with you, and we host it in your country or region. If you leave, you can take your data with you, and we delete our copy once the hand-over is done.

Who sees it

Only the two of us at Doyak Tech, and the service providers that help us run the business (for example, email and hosting). They may only use it to provide their service to us.

Where it is kept

Software and data we run for clients. Hosted in the client’s own country or region: Canada for Canadian clients, the EU for European clients, and so on. This is what “Data hosted in your region” means everywhere on this site.

Our own business tools. The tools we use to run Doyak Tech itself, such as email, are provided by companies that may store information, including the messages you send us, outside Québec or Canada. When that happens we choose providers that protect it to a standard comparable to Québec’s.

Services a project needs. If a project you ask for needs a third-party service that stores data outside your country or region (a payment processor, for example), we tell you before it is used.

How long we keep it

A message that doesn’t lead to working together is deleted within 24 months. Information about clients is kept while we work together and afterwards only as long as the law requires (for example, for tax records).

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what information we have about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it’s wrong or incomplete;
  • delete it, or stop using it, where the law allows;
  • withdraw your consent.

Write to info@doyaktech.com. We reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security, and if something goes wrong

We limit access to the people who need it, use encrypted connections, and keep client systems up to date. If a privacy incident could seriously harm you, we will tell you and the Commission d’accès à l’information as the law requires, and explain what we’re doing about it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If the change matters to you as a client, we tell you directly.

Questions about your information? info@doyaktech.com or the contact page.
