Questions About Web Applications
A website tells people about your business. A web application is somewhere they log in and get something done: book, pay, upload, approve or check where things stand. Plenty of businesses need both, and you don’t need to know which before you get in touch.
No. A web application opens in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Each person logs in with their own account and sees the part that’s theirs.
It travels over an encrypted connection and only the right people see it. We sign a privacy and confidentiality agreement with you, and your data stays in a data centre in your country or region. Before we build, we go through your local privacy rules with you: for example Québec’s privacy law (Law 25), Ontario’s health privacy law (PHIPA) or Europe’s GDPR.
8 to 12 weeks. Usual time from your yes to live. Your proposal gives the date. We’d rather put a first version in front of your clients early, then improve it from what they actually do.
Then you may only need a website that plugs your booking tool in. We’ll tell you which fits before you spend anything; see our websites page for that route.
Often, yes. We look at what you already have first, like your calendar, accounting software or spreadsheets, and tell you whether to connect to it, replace it or leave it alone.
Hosting, updates, fixes to anything we built, and a monthly report on what people did in it against the result we agreed. If something breaks, email info@doyaktech.com or use the contact page, any business day. New features are proposed with their price first; nothing is added without your yes. Priced per system, not per unit, seat or user.
Your data and content are yours from day one. The code we write for you becomes yours after the 12-month minimum, or sooner if you pay out the remaining months. Our reusable building blocks stay ours, with a permanent licence for you to use them. While you’re subscribed, we host and run the application.
